Sanity in an insane world

I know that it may be hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but you have to! I mean, what are your other options? Die? No, not now!!!!! The last year and one half has been a really eventful for my family. I found my father, or rather a friend found him for me. Along with that, came four brothers and one sister! This was a shock for someone that always believe herself to be an only child! My mother overcame a great illness that almost took her life. I am the parent of teenagers (that's a blog all by itself). My husband and I are helping elderly parents with some of the issues that the elderly faces daily. We have had our own share of health issues and concerns. Now, we are dealing with a family member that is going through a serious medical crisis. All of this in the midst of looking for employment, preparing children for college and high school, finding time for family, each other, and sneaking in a little time for one's self.

All I know is, there is going to be a great reward in overcoming! I have learned to stay connected to my spiritual man. I limit what I say and who I say it to! I take quite time to reflect on situation and analyze needed changes. I have learned to encourage myself and speak life into existence. I look at my circumstance and know that it won't be like this always. I seek joy in small things that I once took for granted.; playing a game with the family, watching a favorite televisions show, listening to the birds chirp early in the morning.

I don't k now what gets you going, but find it and push towards it. Act on the positive and learn from the negative. Smile in the face of adversity and when no one is around, tell YOURSELF... it WILL be alright!!!

Until next time, stay sane!!!
